Pictures with Santa

We went to Willowbrook Mall to see Santa for the first time. Ryan loved him and we got one great expensive picture!!

We think Ryan looks better than Santa and look how Ryan is holding Santa's hand. Too cute!! I am sure in years to come it won't be this easy to take a photo with Santa.
Now we are anxiously waiting Santa's arrival!! We hope all of you have a very
Merry Christmas!!

2nd Anniversary

Well from the title of our blog 12-10-05 you can understand that today is our anniversary--I am a Gomez Now!! Mike and I have been married two wonderful years. I was thinking today at how far we have come in those two years. We have gone from renting to owning a home, I have graduated from grad school, Mike has changed stations to one that he loves and has taken a promotion exam, and most significantly we have had Ryan. Its crazy what two years will bring. Today was an ordinary day!! Ryan and I ran errands and went to the Little Gym for our class then we headed to the Fire Station to try and surprise Mike on our anniversary. No luck!! He was out on a call. So we left the cookie cake in his car and came home!! I was sad to miss him but that is how life is when you are a FireFighter!! I guess we will celebrate our anniversary another day--when you both work and are parents you learn to fit things in at random times! I was laughing with both my mom and my mother in law that maybe in a week or so we will go to dinner and call it our anniversary dinner!!

Well I am looking forward to many more anniversaries with my husband and maybe some of them we will actually celebrate on December 10th!!

6 months old

Ryan is 6 months old today. We just got home from the doctors office. We got five shots today. He screamed so hard while they did it and then once I picked him up he was fine!! Poor thing!!
Well he has doubled his birth weight. The boy is in the 50% for everything, height, weight and head circumference. HE weighs 16 lbs 10.7 oz and is 26 1/4 inches tall. He sits up on his own and logs rolls all around the room. It wont be long til he is walking talking and going to school!!! I cant believe he is already 6 months old. He talks or so he thinks all the time. He laughs at his dogs a ton and tries to get them. He is very curious and is always looking around. His left arm is progressing he is moving it more and more everyday which is a blessing. Ryan really is a happy baby, currently he is at my feet trying to get under the desk to the shiny box. Must go find some appropriate toys for the baby.

Life

Well things are getting crazy because its the holidays. We had a great Thanksgiving. Mike worked--he made the turkey at the Fire Station which I tasted the leftovers and it was great. Ryan and I went to Bastrop and met family for an easy Thanksgiving. We were at a hotel buffet that was incredible--the hotel Hyatt lost Pines was amazing. It would be a great place for a weekend getaway if the price were right!! We met Jake and Sarah with the kids, my mom and Phil, my dad and Lynda and Mikes Sister Stacy came with us. It was really a great Thanksgiving--lots to be thankful for and it showed.

Now we are knee deep in Christmas!! Part of the outside decorations are up. We still have a few more cutouts to finish-- we will see if it all gets done. The inside is almost done--just need to go get the tree. Shopping is underway as well. Christmas is everywhere!!!

I do not have any pictures from Thanksgiving so if you were there with us and want to share please do. Also as soon as the outside is done I will post pictures of the cutouts!!
