Cutting down the tree!

Well we have a Gomez Family tradition of cutting the tree down!! We go to a local tree farm and walk around find that perfectly huge tree and cut it down!! This year was no different we walked around and found a great tree that didnt look too big so we got it! Then at home its huge!! Oh well it looks great taking up half the living room.

As always I try to take a Christmas card photo while there--this proved to be a huge challenge.

Here are photos from our family adventure!

A photo of the girls
The first of the kids-- Ryan is trying to turn Abby's head to look at the camera
Now this is one of the best that I got-- No one is paying me any attention! Needless to say my Christmas card photo was not from this day!
This is my big sassy two year old! I think she looks soooo old here its scary!
The boys cutting our tree down!
What a great day! What a fun tradition that we started before we had kids and now with them even more fun! Mike used to do this with his family before they went fake (tree) and so when we got married this was kinda a deal breaker--he had to have a real tree at Christmas!! We will continue this tradition and hope our kids keep loving as much as they did this year!

Emma turned 2!

Well my middle one turned TWO! Where has time gone! We had a party at Monkey Bizness and she loved it!

She would barely stand still for a photo--here she is on the run!
Her crazy brother! To think I could get them together not likely!
Emma's awesome cake--thanks Michelle--it was both delicious and fabulously decorated!
Here she is with the tutu--Mike jokes its the biggest thing ever!!
Overall I think she had a great time at her party--she is still telling people its her birthday!!

Abby is on the move

So our precious last child has decided that she should do things quickly! She decided it would be a good idea to be crawling at six months and attempting to pull up by 6 1/2 months. Here are some funny pictures from when she really got busy!!

We come in the room to find her behind the chair trying to play with her play gym!
What am I in some kind of trouble!
Now the infamous photo of finding the water bowl!!

I don't know why you are telling me no--this is fun especially with Emma's shoe!!
Needless to say our house just got that much busier!! Gates are having to be shut again and things picked up off the floor that a little one should not have!!

Ryan and Emma love that Abby is crawling but they are still a little unsure about her getting to their toys now!!

Abby has me saying this is the last time my babies will do this or that--sometimes its sad they grow so fast but we are looking forward to what each new adventure and stage brings about!

The infamous deck

For those of you that know-- Mike has been busy the last six months building a huge deck for my mom and Phil. It is finally done and looks awesome!! He is soooo very talented and I am proud of the work he does even if it takes a long time. I thought I would show you all some finished photos.

The bottom level
The second stairway leading to the bottom level
Looking at the house
Looking at the side
From the back door looking down the top level was the pre-existing that he then added the bottom to layers
So there you have it--now Mike has started our floors and when those are done I will post more pictures!!

Halloween season!!

October where did you go??

We were busy this last week fitting things in from booing, to the pumpkin patch to Halloween night--here are some highlights!!

Emma and Daddy running from booing some friends!!
Ryan holding hands with Buzz at the pumpkin patch
Emma thinking a pumpkin is a chair-she loved to sit on it and slide off!
Abby sitting in the pumpkins!
Ryan was trying to figure out how to get in this fake Barn--he was upset to learn it was not real
The crew!! The Carney Chipettes and Woody's Round-up Gang
Woody, Jesse and Bullseye

Woody and Jesse!!
This is how Abby and Emma rode around Halloween night!! Abby was great and did not make a peep, Emma would occasionally get out and get some candy then get back in and eat the candy!!
Ryan loved trick or treating this year after every house he would come show us how much candy he had.

Halloween was so much fun for the kids and for us--we are looking forward to the rest of the year and all the holidays and fun things for the kids

Old MacDonald Farm

While Carrie and Savannah were still in town Ammy treated us all to an adventure at Old MacDonalds Farm in Humble!! With Ryan being in a huge Cowboy phase right now this was a slice of heaven for him. There were animals everywhere that you could just go touch or feed, a huge pile of dirt to play in, play systems, a train and a pumpkin patch. We even got to take a picnic in! It was a great adventure!! Here is just a glimpse of the day

Getting ready to pet the very friendly but large cow!
Our crew in the pumpkin patch
New pose!
The girls chatting after the picnic lunch! (Ryan was over on that pile of dirt in the background)
My cowboys dream--riding the horse
It was a very fun day!

We are now looking forward to this weekend and Halloween (then Emma's Birthday)-- I promise to post new pictures a little faster!!
