Christmas Morning

Finally to the Christmas post-- (Scroll down if you are looking at these and work your way to this one!)

This was Christmas eve after mass. Mass with little ones is hard-- We had seats which were great but since Ryan was recently potty trained we had to go several times--walk through all the people standing and then Emma was not wanting to sit still so we ended up sitting in the back and leaving a little early--but we have this photo
Christmas morning Dad has us and we are ready to come see if Santa came
Waiting patiently at the top of the stairs--
Look Santa came and left all this stuff
Emma trying on her new shoes, glasses and purse

Daddy helped with the shoes
Ryan playing Doctor--with all the wee woo stuff it was only fair we get a little hospital stuff too!
Daddy and Ryan in our new tunnel
The mess of Christmas morning
Ryan now as a construction worker
Christmas was great! It was so fun to just be at home and enjoy the kids. We loved seeing Christmas through them--it was such a joy and we look forward to soo many more fun Family Christmas's!

Badger Christmas

For the past Christmas's my dad and lynda have been getting us together for a nice lunch and exchange of presents-- this year my mom and Phil joined us. Well with 7 grandkids you can imagine its a little crazy thankfully we have a whole room to ourselves!! This year my dad surprised all the grandkids and had Santa make a special trip to see them--
Emma got a little closer this time to get a bear from Santa only because momma was right there
Dad and Lynda with all the kids and Santa
My mom with all the kids and Santa
The kids that would sit with Santa without an adult in the pic. I love how Eli is holding Ryans hands and Will is holding his shoulders!!
All Seven in the picture--this was hard to capture!!!

Overall the day at Vargos was great!! Too many presents and too much food but good quality family time. Crazy to think next year there will be eight Grandbabies!!

Trying for a Christmas Card

Well we tried to take our Christmas photo at the tree farm and we were not 100% happy with our results. So one night I put them in their Christmas jammies and thought I would try again--it was also a challenge but I did get alot of cute photos.
Was trying to have them sit in their chairs and well not sooo successful
But close up laying worked well
Then playing on the couch--Emma attacking Ryan because I told Ryan to hold Emma down!!
Ryan holding her and being sweet
Then sitting together by the tree--Emma was going for ornaments and Ryan was hamming it up

I did get a lot that night and they had fun playing like they were cooperating!!

Cutting the Christmas Tree Down

I am way behind on updating so I thought I would do several posts today of various things-- first is our family tradition of cutting the tree down. We go to a local tree farm and pick a tree and cut it down, this year our friends the Carney's came with us, while they started a new tradition we continued ours.
Our tree--after hunting for awhile this is the one we picked--it looked great in the field and all decorated at home too!
These two were a pair-- Monkey see Monkey do!!
All the kids riding back to the barn once we cut our trees down
First try at Santa this year, Emma was not happy
Then our kids played in the big pile of hay--they loved it!! This is them climbing down!!

Overall the beginning of the Christmas season was kicked off right--great tradition!! We look forward to next year!
