Emma's Party

We had Emma's First Birthday here at our house with friends and family. It was a great time. We rented a great bounce castle and have a dome climber--the kids just played like crazy in the backyard. I think Emma even had fun at first I think she was a little overwhelmed!!!
Emma in her birthday outfit--she refused to wear her bow--so her hair was wild and crazy the whole day!
Getting Ready to blow the candles out
All the kids waiting to get their piece of cake while Emma enjoyed hers
Really enjoyed hers!!
The cakes and the flowers. We got the cake from a friend Michelle--divaofcakes.com and the flowers daddy brought home for Emma. Overall I think it was a great first birthday. She got a lot of girly toys which we needed. Now we can get ready for Thanksgiving and then Christmas will be here. Thankfully we are heading to out of town for Thanksgiving so I dont have to do much!!

Emma's First Photos

We took Emma's First Year Photos right before her birthday. My stepmom Lynda Badger who is available to take your Christmas card or whatever you need a photographer for took these. I have sooooo many to chose from I barely can. I still have not decided which ones I am going to print, I love them all---

Hope you enjoyed them--if you like them you can see Lynda's website at www.photographedbylynda.blogspot.com and give her a call!!!

Halloween!!

We started out Halloween heading to Travis Parker's 1 st Birthday Party which was soo fun because we got to wear our costumes.
Emma is a dalmatian and Ryan is the fire fighter!! Once Ryan was in costume he didnt want to take it off!
At night Ryan added a little soot to the dramatic effect
Emma added a nose for nighttime and she refuse to wear the hat and ears!
Emma getting in Ryans face-- I only wonder what they were talking about
Ryan and Camden a year later!! We have this picture from last year and my how they have grown!!

Halloween was fun! Ryan was kinda in shock of everyone dressed up but loved going door to door to get candy. Emma just thought cool we just get to play outside! Ryan will probably be in costume the next time you see him because first thing this morning was where is my wee woo coat and pants and hat-- yes he got to wear it again today.

Emma's First Haircut!!

Emma got her first hair cut on Thursday the 29th!! I know she didnt have much hair and you all probably think I am crazy but it just need some shaping. Plus I have heard if you cut it it will grow and that is what I am hoping for!!
We went to cool cuts for kids which was nice because they sit in a car and can watch a video the whole time.
Layering the top--Emma did great, sat still and all!!
Oooohhhhh I got a bow in and I am all pretty. Mind you the bow stayed about 20minutes until she realized it was there and out it came!

After Emma's haircut she sat with daddy while Ryan got his cut. Daddy came to help with haircuts but ended up playing video games!!
Ryans turn! Dad has been cutting his hair lately but we needed a reshaping.

Cool Cuts does a great job with kids but really pricey--- two toddlers looking good and 40 dollars later!!!

Pumpkin Patch

We went to the pumpkin patch at a church near us and the kids had fun. Ryan kept saying lots of pumpkins then Emma didnt know what to think. Here are some photos from the adventure...
Ryan trying to decide which pumpkin he should get
Attempting to get a photo of the two of them--this was quite hard-- Emma didnt want to sit still and Ryan well he is a typical two year old boy wanting to do his own thing!!
Emma just resting!!

Overall the pumpkin patch was fun--then everytime we drove by any pumpkin patch for the next weeks Ryan asked if we could stop and get more!!!

Children's Museum

The kids did too!! Here daddy is raising Ryan on a little elevator pulley system
Ryan decided he could figure this out for himself-- I loved how everything was their height obviously but there were teachable moments for various ages.
Next time we will not take a stroller because this one wanted out to play too-- so we let her down and she had a blast.
This light would turn red when you moved by a certain sensor we sat their and entertained Emma for quite sometime--she was unsure why or how it was blinking or staying on.  She would just watch it then touch it then try and talk to it-- it was too cute.
Emma peeking through a hole playing peek a boo with daddy.
Driving the police car
Shopping in the grocery store-- of course he bought ice cream-- like father like son
The rain cleared enough to see the outside water stuff and with my kids they loved it!!  By the time we left they were both soaked from touching and playing in the water.
The Children's Museum was well worth our money--we learned where to spend time and where not to spend time-- next time will be even better!!

Random Days-- Photo Fun

Some Random times the past months while my blogging has been pushed to the side!!! Here Ryan and Emma are playing in the beans. We filled the water table with pinto beans and Ryan loves to dig and play in it-- Emma likes to eat the beans!
One Morning when they both wanted to sit with Dad because he just got home from work!
My future longhorns-- this was the day they beat Tech!! My kids sure do look good in orange and Ryan loves wearing anything to do with football.
I was in the shower one morning and left the kids to watch Cars (our favorite movie right now) and when I came out this is what I found.  Poor Emma fell asleep on part of the lamb and Ryan then told me he put the blanket on her because she was cold!! Too cute! They love each other sooo much it just makes me smile all the time.
This was crazy momma day-- I let them play with shaving cream all over an old mirror.  Emma again wanted to taste it and Ryan loved smearing it.  I actually had to draw all sorts of things and Ryan would laugh and then erase them.  It was good fun for about 20 minutes then they were ready to move on!
Well that about catches everything up!!! We have been busy having fun with our two little ones!!

School Started

Ryan started Mothers Day out again this year and loves it-- He goes Monday and Wednesday for five hours-- a great break for me!! Emma is starting to realize that she misses him.  These are from the first day of school.
Ryan telling Emma where he is going

Heading our the door-- the back pack finally kinda fits
Heading into school with trouble!! He loves to make faces!!  He loves school which is a great blessing.

Fourth of July

The fourth of July was busy and soo much fun for us.  We started the day with the parade in our neighborhood
Ryan waiting for the parade to start, wearing Emma's hat hamming it up for the camera.  I love that you can his one little eye peeking out under there.  He was too cute, then the wee woo showed up and holy cow was that one ecstatic little boy!
Dad sitting with the kids at the parade.
Ryan staring at the wee woo, waiting for it to come by us
Here is comes, lights sirens and all that jazz.  It was so close to us Ryan just sat quietly and watched.  The hole parade route you could heat the wee woo, so we just kept talking about it.  It even drove by us again (the parade makes a loop so we saw it twice!)
Emma trying to run away from daddy's arms--with her crawling now and wanting to stand up she keeps us busy

From the parade we headed to Grampy's (Bruce's house) and hung out with Mike's family.
The kids lining up for a pose, too bad we didnt put Savannah in Emma's lap!!!
Stacy was pushing them around in this big brown bowl or boat.  They loved it and Ryan held on to Emma so tight, a good big brother.

From there we headed to the Intercontinental to watch the fireworks with the Carney clan in the comforts of the AC.  We ate pizza, the kids swam and played then we watched the show.  We could actually see three different shows, it was really nice.
Camden trying to hold Emma or tackle her!
Mackenzie and Emma-- very cute!
Then we caught Ryan and Camden in bed together!! Ryan was rubbing her feet or smelling them, no telling with those two.
Then the two watching fireworks together. Their first show together!!

It was a busy day but a great day with family and friends.  Hope you all had a wonderful fourth of July. we sure did!
