Rainy Day

With all the rain we had last week from Dolly we got a little stir crazy in the house so we let Ryan out.  I was not sure what he would think of the rain but he loved it.  It was raining out more than a drizzle but less than a pour and Ryan played and played.  He finally found a puddle that he monkey crawled through and through again and again.  I love the picture of Ryan looking at Mike while he has the umbrella, I am sure Ryan was thinking Dad you dont need that its much more fun without.  I think every kid should get to play in the puddles!! The only down side was when it was time to go in--tears and a temper tantrum which was cured by food so all worked out.

Dog Park

We took Ryan and the dogs to the dog park the other day.  It was Ryan and Ginger's first time to the park, Dixie used to go a lot as a baby!!! Everyone had a blast.  Ryan was in love--sooo many dogs running, playing in the water and wanting to talk to him.  He got several kisses from dogs and Ryan even tried to get in the water with them. (We had to stop that because the water is gross!!).  Overall is was a great time something we will have to do again very soon.

Then later Ryan just loved on his dogs.  Ryan sometime thinks they are stuffed animals and lays on them or will give them hugs.  He loves to have the dogs kiss his hands.  His even newest thing is to grab their tails and walk behind them, he thinks its hilarious!!

Crawling to Walking

We are mobile in more ways than one!! See our video of the process. Ryan started walking the beginning of this month and everyday he walks more and more.  Yesterday we were walking in stores with our shoes on too!! Its fun!!

Even the score

Well we had our ultrasound of baby B yesterday and we will be bringing a Girl Gomez into the family.  We are very happy!! We are currently trying to decide her name--lots of ideas but nothing final yet.  Ryan is excited to be a big brother to a sister--today he bought her a pink pig stuffed animal and himself another dog stuffed animal!!!  I was a little shocked that is was a girl just because I didnt think I would get a girl--Mike was prepared for a girl.  Mike made the joke yesterday that the boy (ryan) was his and the girl was all mine.  I laughed and said yeah right she will have you wrapped around her pinky so tight it will be funny--he swears no, but we will see come November!!

On another note Ryan had an orthopedic appt last week and everything looked good.  They think he is progressing as should and were very please with range of motion and movement on his own.  Now we just need to focus on building strength--muscle tone in the arm--if only they had baby weights!! We follow up with them again in September and go from there.

Well that is a brief update on the expanding Gomez family!!!  When we have a name we will be sure to share.  I am off to lay down and rest while Ryan hopefully does the same, I can still hear him in his crib awake!!!  Happy 4th of July to everyone!!
